PAT SMITH
Dog groomer & qualified hydrotherapist. ABC Level 3 certificate in hydrotherapy for small animals including hydrotherapy, treadmill therapy for small animals and Canine First Aid and Canine Touch:

“I have always been enthusiastic about animals, especially dogs, their welfare and wellbeing. I have two rehomed large labradoodles, Monty and Rusty, now aged 10 and 11 years old.”

“About four years ago Rusty ruptured his left cruciate ligament and had surgery which was successful. There wasn’t anywhere in the Leighton Buzzard area where I could take him post-operative to have hydrotherapy and rebuild his muscle mass, strength and stamina, even though he was entitled to up to 15 sessions of hydrotherapy on his insurance policy.”

“I decided to do something about this sad situation for the many dogs in the expanding town of Leighton Buzzard.”

“After a lot of study and practical applications I gained my qualification and found a refurbished barn near Heath and Reach. This now houses a bespoke pool with underwater cameras, jets and aquatic treadmill, plus the latest technology to monitor dog well being and rehabilitation progress.”

STACEY MONEY
Dog groomer & trainee hydrotherapist. National diploma in Animal Care Level 2 & 3; National Diploma in Horse Care; Certificate in Canine First Aid, City & Guilds qualified Level 2 & 3 in Grooming.

“I have a rescue German Shepherd dog, Lizzie, and she has hip problems. Since taking the PetAgile supplement, her mobility has hugely improved. I am looking forward to creating a fitness programme using the hydrotherapy pool and aquatic treadmill to build up her muscle mass.”

“I also have an Arab horse, Ollie, who can be very challenging ... I have always been passionate about animals!”

ELAINE GRAY
Dog groomer & trainee hydrotherapist. Certificate in Canine First Aid and Level 2 in Canine Touch

“I have two show cocker spaniels, Polly and Dexter, mother & son. Dexter regularly attends shows and enjoys all the fuss and attention.”

“I developed an interest in hydrotherapy when a friend’s dog had an injury and was referred for rehabilitation. She travelled from Leighton Buzzard to Bedford, which was the nearest insurance approved practice with an aquatic treadmill (but still no pool).”

“At Allsorts, using both a treadmill and pool exercise is provided in a controlled manner.”

“I strongly believe in maximising a dog’s natural fitness and mobility.”
